How To Recharge Your Soul On Sundays

There is something magical, something soothing and calming in terms of Sundays.

That energy after productive, maybe a bit hectic week, where now soul finally has time to wind down, to relax and recharge.

That light, gentle energy that brings you home. Home to yourself.

For me Sundays are for celebrating myself. I love doing everything I desire, everything my soul and heart craves.

Rest, self care, self love are so important. You can only serve others, when you have served yourself first. It’s because you can’t give from an empty cup. You must fill yourself with peace, love, creativity, and magic, so you can contribute that to others.

To start fresh and productive week let’s freshen up ourselves on Sundays first!

TAKE YOUR TIME

Do things slowly, mindfully and with awareness. Pay attention to everything – how you move, how you breathe, how you see the world. Slow Sundays is a must for a week full of creative flow.

Besides mindful living in general is one of the greatest instruments for a peaceful and meaningful live.

SLOW COFFEE MOMENT

It can be whichever hot beverage soothes your soul the most – tea, matcha, maybe even a fresh pineapple juice.

The key here is to take every sip with loads of attention. Enjoy the process of making it. Lay down in the summery morning Sun and ask yourself :

How does it smell?

How does it taste?

What moment like this brings up in your memory?

For me my morning matcha ritual is a must. It’s like that universal light morning energy is in my little cup, and I am so honored to take my time slowly and sip into my existence.

It is such a ritual that makes me so happy.

REFLECTION

Take your favourite journal and reflect on the week.

This ritual is for your self development, so you can know what you want to focus on more on the new week.

  • What’s your biggest success in this week?
  • What do you want to focus more  the next week?
  • Which day was the best this week? Why?
  • Is there something new you want to try out? Why/what is it?
  • What’s your biggest goal for the next week?

Reflection will only move you forward to become your best possible self.

WALKING THERAPY

When I was in primary school, I remember my Sundays as days for those long, long walks with your favourite music in your earphones.

You walk, and walk, and walk. And suddenly all your worries are gone, there is a new, fresh energy waiting for you at all times.

Walks are healing. Walks are reacharging. Use this instrument for your body (movement) and for your soul (mental clarity).

SLOWWWWWWWWW YOGA

Ahh, yoga is for everyday, but especially for sundazzze. Just because you can move more slowly, more mindfully, more fully enjoying your body.

Try out different yoga types and choose the one that feels the best :

  • Yin Yoga (my all time fav!)
  • Hatha Yoga
  • Kundalini Yoga
  • Bikram Yoga
  • Ashtanga Yoga
  • Restorative Yoga

DRAW YOUR EMOTIONS

I also remember drawing moons, stars, maybe even a Sponge Bob :D.

Key here is to melt into that art flow, which helps you express your emotions, feelings, through colors and shapes.

FRESHEN UP YOUR LIVING SPACE

It’s for your mental clarity, besides clear space will make you will lighter and much more like a human.

Make this as a much more pleasent activity by turning on your all time favourite boogie and while dancing still cleaning the home!

PRACTICE SELF CARE

Face masks, foot bath, pampering your nails, drinking a bit of wine while laying in bubble bath – you name it! As long as you take care of your body, you also take care of your soul. It’s a win, win situation you must practice not only on Sundays, but life in general!
